bt my preceptor says im coping better than expected.

its weird how everytime im doing in-charge,
either one of my pt's will collapse or end up being transferred out to MICU.
am i a jinx or what?!
damn stressful, lah!
run here, run there.
transfer here, transfer there.
bt i guess im learning more lah, kan?
haix.
& i think i now know who i can work with and who i cant work with.
gahh.
i hate work politics.
outing with zaf tdy.
yeay.
i LOVE off days.

these past 2 days hve been freakin crazy, man.
its freaking unbelievable, lah.
i only recently just strted doing SN floater duties fr 3 days(been doing 1 mnth of EN duties before tt),
bt then i was suddenly told to strt taking cases, ON TOP of e performing e floater duties.
n its not abt being in-charge of 1 or 2 pts leh.
its half a team of 16 pts, ok.
nk mampos.
so i've been like hurrying here and there, trying to make sure all my pt's abx are being served on time, attending to pt's call bell & minor needs, on top of following dr's rounds(did i mention tt this ward can have up to 7 different team of drs?!), n nt forgetting bathing/sponging pts and all, doing e changes, n then serving abx again & h/c monitoring, then serve lunch, followed by following up with e changes n writing reports, then serving e aftrnn meds, do some dressings, n finally, pass report.
i ended up staying back, lah.
ape lagi.
either to finish e report writings or do some dressings or following up with whatever it is tt needs to be followed up.
n this is only e 2nd day of this madness mayhem.
n tts nt e worst news yet.
i was informed tdy tt i have only A WEEK to slowly take cases until next wk, where i'll be totally in-charge of 1 team.
in-charge as in like i-am-totally-on-my-own kinda in-charge.
in-charge as in like i-am-fully-accountable-for-my-16-pts kinda in-charge.
omggggg.
i want to die now, can?
tts like teaching a newborn baby how to sprint!
gimme a chance to breathe, leh.
pls.
a week.
so i've got 1 bloody miserable week ahead of me.

strting shift work alr~
2 day offs, followed by aftrnn shift.
yippie~
finally.
so sick of doing day shift these past 2 weeks.
hve yet signed my competency checklist,
even tho i've already done countless of venepunctures and IVAMs.
its hard to get e senior SNs to assess u.
they're always busy doing other things.

was suppossed to do SN floater fr e past few days,
bt we're both still stuck doing EN/junior in-charge cos of kakak.
im not complaining tho.
haha.
im still nt ready to handle e stress!
